Flexible and designated gifts

Clarity protects both donors and the ministry.

As the ministry expands beyond direct orphanage support, gifts need to be clearly identified as orphanage support, ministry support, lodging payments, house builds, or another approved purpose.

Flexible support

Funds can be directed toward the most timely approved needs, including needs that change after a gift is made.

Best for:General operations, orphanage support, ministry coordination, and emerging needs.

Designated support

Funds are recorded for an approved purpose listed in the current giving portal or confirmed with ministry leadership.

Best for:House builds, lodging payments, education programs, or verified current projects.
Accountability

Give based on real ministry needs—not attractive but misleading prices.

The former website attached simple dollar amounts to meals, cakes, school supplies, and other needs. Nate explained that several of those amounts did not reflect the full cost. The rebuilt site therefore directs donors toward flexible support, established programs, or projects with a verified scope.

Clear recipient

Donations are made to Door of Faith Ministries, Inc., not directly to the orphanage.

Clear purpose

Available funds explain whether support is flexible, recurring, or designated.

Realistic needs

Project amounts should be published only after scope and actual costs are known.

Protected children

Donor communication should demonstrate impact without publicly exposing children in care.

Current priorities

Ask before designating a project gift.

Current work includes re-licensing improvements, concrete, roofs, maintenance, and additional long-term volunteer capacity. Scope and costs can change as inspections, engineers, contractors, and leadership complete their reviews.
